Your participation in OAC activities, programs, or task forces helps you to do that more widely, more effectively and more efficiently by taking full advantage of what the OAC offers you – listed above.
A: OAC resource people
A: The OAC operates as a 'virtual enterprise', with no offices, so there is no OAC location. Every OAC resource person operates his/her own home-based office. This keeps costs low, so that Members' fees can all be used to provide direct benefits to Members.
A: The OAC operates as a 'virtual enterprise'. The OAC has no employees. Every OAC resource person is engaged on contract, on a part-time basis to carry out the 'baseline operations' of the OAC. OAC resource persons may be assigned to manage and support specific projects, events, activities, etc. that the OAC undertakes from time to time that are over and above OAC 'baseline operations'.
'Baseline operations' of the OAC are those whose costs are covered by annual membership fees; these are:
All other projects, activities, events, etc. in which OAC participates must be funded as separate and individual undertakings, with full cost recovery for the time provided by OAC resource persons and for all other costs. This includes trade development activities (trade shows, missions, etc.), all strategic initiatives, OAC forums, etc..
